This manual describes the access procedure to the Citrix EQP environment via Citrix Workspace App from any system.

The Citrix Workspace App communicates encrypted with the Citrix EQP environment. To make this possible, the root certificate of our Windows environment must be present on the workstations. The root certificate of our Windows environment can be downloaded under Public Key Infrastructure.

With certain devices (e.g. iOS and Android) it is not easy to install a root certificate. Instead, they offer the option of ignoring certificate warnings for certain servers.

The Citrix Workspace app can be downloaded free of charge from https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/.

Note: If you want to access the Citrix EQP environment from devices outside the UZH network, VPN must be used.

When you start Citrix Workspace app for the first time, you will be asked to enter an email address or server address. It does not work for us with the e-mail address, but with the server address idcitrix.d.uzh.ch.

With certain devices it is necessary to prefix the server address with the protocol, which then results in https://idcitrix.d.uzh.ch for the required information.

Sometimes it is even necessary to provide the Internet address https://idcitrix.d.uzh.ch/Citrix/Production.

Use the appropriate Active Directory account (short name) to log in.

For certain devices, it is necessary to specify the UZH domain, where sometimes the fully qualified name d.uzh.ch has to be used.

After the configuration, the desired desktops must first be added to the favorites. How to do this can be found in the other instructions for configuration.
