Videoconferencing apps Teams and Zoom

The videoconferencing apps Teams and Zoom are available at UZH.

Teams

MS Teams is recommended as videoconferencing software for internal online meetings with up to 1000 participants (with A5 license). When using an A1 license, the maximum number of participants is 300. Guide to MS Teams

Zoom

UZH Zoom enables meetings for up to 300 participants. A limited number of licenses can be ordered separately for webinars with up to 500, 1000, or 3000 participants. Zoom is suitable for holding courses. Guide to Zoom

Videoconferencing at the workplace

Always use a headset in online meetings at your workplace to ensure good voice quality. Here  you will find headsets recommended by Central IT.

Videoconferencing in a conference room

In conference rooms, use videoconferencing devices that are adapted to the room-specific requirements for image and sound. Connect the devices to your personal computer via USB and configure the microphone, speakers and camera in the MS Teams or Zoom settings before the meeting.

These are video transmissions of courses or events using videoconferencing technology.
